Spraycoat Fire Rated Spray Foam Insulation, Closed Cell
Use this calculator to determine how many spray foam insulation cans you’ll need for your project. Each can covers 20 sq.ft. at 1 inch thickness, providing an effective R-value of 5.66.

FAQ
SPRAYMAN Spray Foam conforms tightly to surfaces, creating an airtight seal that significantly improves thermal and sound insulation compared to traditional materials.
Unlike many cheaper spray foams, SPRAYMAN is Class A Fire Rated, meeting strict fire safety standards. It offers user-friendly, precision application, ideal for both DIY and professional use.
Class A (Class 1) is the highest fire resistance rating for building materials, indicating minimal flame spread and smoke development. Tested per ASTM E84, Class A materials (Flame Spread Index: 0-25) slow fire spread, providing crucial extra time. Ratings B (26-75) and C (76-200) have lower fire resistance.
Class A rating ensures superior fire resistance, critical for protecting buildings, especially wooden structures, by slowing fire spread and improving safety.
Fire rated spray foam provides continuous insulation and fire protection for walls and ceilings. Fire block foam seals gaps around critical areas like electrical boxes but is not intended for broad insulation.
Many inexpensive fillers, used mainly for gap or crack filling, lack genuine insulation properties and fire ratings. SPRAYMAN Spray Foam is an insulation product and Class A Fire Rated, providing one of the most fireproof insulation options available.
Old insulation may require removal during renovations or if poorly installed. Removal is done mechanically by cutting away the foam.
For roughly 1,000 sq ft at 1-inch thickness, you’ll need about 50 cans. Use the SPRAYMAN spray foam calculator for precise estimates.
It’s best to vacate during application due to fumes. Return after 12 hours once the foam has ventilated and cured.
Follow guidelines: prepare surfaces, apply at recommended temperatures, use multiple layers, and perform regular inspections.
No insulation is fully waterproof, but SPRAYMAN’s closed-cell spray foam is one of the most water-resistant. Suitable for exteriors but avoid prolonged water exposure.
